We look forward to welcoming Rev Suzy Sitton and her husband Stan in September 2021!
Stan Comollatti: Stan loves fixing things and building things to help other people. He likes being physically busy. He prunes trees (I think he is a tree whisperer as many trees and scrubs seem to blossom under his care.) Stan has worked with heavy machinery, and likes to see how things work.
Stan is an accredited lay preacher offering to serve at South Rockhampton Uniting Church for most of his life. For Stan the move to Proserpine is a new experience. He will be a member of the worshipping community where Suzy ministers.
Suzy Sitton: Suzy is a city girl. Called by God to leave Brisbane and develop her ministry to rural and regional areas, firstly in Emerald and then the Capricorn Coast and now Proserpine Whitsunday. Suzy has been a Blue Care chaplain for 10 years. She comes from a working back ground in business software support, where she solved problems, mentored and trained people. Suzy’s passion is pastoral ministry, developing the gifts and graces of our emerging leaders for their ministry in the wider church, and in local communities, and spiritually nurturing young families and children in faith, hope and love. Her other passion is music, guitar, ukulele, keyboard and singing. Using these skills to provide wellbeing activities for families with different abilities, senior citizens and all who have a desire to sing. Suzy is a mentor and and authorised pastoral supervisor. Suzy also enjoys good coffee and a chat and sharing hospitality with others.
Stan was a widower for 9 years, when he and Suzy married on the 9th April 2016. Suzy and Stan are still on their honeymoon. Stan is the father of son Aaron (in Brisbane) and daughter Rebekah (in Emerald). Both who are married with their own children. It is hoped that Suzy’s Mum (in Brisbane) will eventually come to join the family in Proserpine. Stan and Suzy use their own names.
It is with anticipation and excitement that Suzy and Stan look forward to being with the Proserpine Whitsunday community for this journey together on the mission of God.
Grace and peace.
